Introduction

Phan Thị Thanh Nhã is a botanist and a scientific illustrator for plants, as well as a botanical artist.

Starting as a plant researcher, Thanh Nhã self-taught herself to create her first scientific illustrations of plants in 2013.

By the end of 2021, she took her initial steps into the world of botanical art. In 2023, Thanh Nhã became the first representative from Vietnam to be honored in the Margaret Flockton Award 2023, an international competition for scientific plant illustration held in Australia.

Current Profession

• Teaching assistant for the course Plant Practice, Plant Laboratory, Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Faculty of Biology - Biotechnology, University of Science, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.
• Scientific illustrator.
• Botanical artist.
